Creamy Country Beef Patties in Mushroom Gravy
A simple old-fashioned comfort meal made with just a few pantry staples. These tender beef patties simmer in a rich mushroom gravy and taste amazing served over mashed potatoes, rice, or buttered noodles.
Ingredients
1½ pounds ground beef, formed into 4 even patties
1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed beef broth or 1¼ cups beef broth
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional for Serving
Mashed potatoes
Rice or egg noodles
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Season the beef patties with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the patties for 3–4 minutes per side until nicely seared. Drain excess grease if needed.
In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and beef broth until smooth.
Pour the mixture over the beef patties in the skillet. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 25–30 minutes until the patties are fully cooked and tender.
Spoon the creamy mushroom gravy over the patties and serve warm with mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
Tips
Add sliced onions or mushrooms for extra flavor.
A splash of Worcestershire sauce gives the gravy a richer taste.
Leftovers reheat beautifully the next day.
