Ingredients
For the Creamy Ricotta Filling
400 g creamy ricotta cheese
2 eggs
8 g vanilla sugar
4 tablespoons sugar
50 g chocolate chips
For the Dough
1 egg
60 g sugar
Zest of 1 orange
120 ml sunflower oil
250 g flour
10 g baking powder

Instructions
Prepare the filling
In a bowl, whisk together the ricotta, eggs, vanilla sugar, and sugar until smooth and creamy. Fold in the chocolate chips and set aside.
Make the dough
In another bowl, beat the egg with the sugar and orange zest. Add the sunflower oil and mix well. Gradually stir in the flour and baking powder until a soft dough forms.
Assemble the pie
Grease the 22 cm baking pan. Press about two-thirds of the dough into the bottom and slightly up the sides of the pan.
Add the filling
Pour the ricotta mixture over the dough and spread evenly.
Finish the top
Use the remaining dough to create strips or small pieces over the top for a rustic homemade look.
Bake
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 35–40 minutes, or until golden and beautifully set.
Cool & serve
Let the pie cool completely before slicing. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
