Juicy Steak with Rich Brown Gravy & Sautéed Vegetables

A hearty, restaurant-style dish featuring a perfectly seared steak, smothered in a rich, savory brown sauce, and served with colorful vegetables and fluffy rice. Simple ingredients, big flavor!

Ingredients:

1 thick-cut beef steak

Salt & black pepper (to taste)

2 tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, sliced

1 cup brown gravy sauce

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 cup broccoli florets

1/2 cup red bell pepper, sliced

1/2 cup yellow bell pepper, sliced

2 cups cooked rice

1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions:

Season the Steak:

Pat the steak dry and season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Sear to Perfection:

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and sear for 3–5 minutes per side (depending on your preferred doneness). Remove from the pan and let it rest.

Make the Flavor Base:

In the same pan, melt the butter. Add sliced onions and cook until soft and slightly caramelized. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Prepare the Sauce:

Pour in the brown gravy sauce and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend and the sauce to thicken slightly.

Cook the Vegetables:

In another pan, heat a little olive oil. Add broccoli and bell peppers, sautéing for 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

Bring It All Together:

Return the steak to the pan with the sauce, spooning the rich gravy over the top. Let it warm through for 1–2 minutes.

Serve & Garnish:

Plate the steak alongside the sautéed vegetables and a serving of rice. Drizzle extra sauce over the steak and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Serving Tip:

For extra richness, add a small knob of butter on top of the steak just before serving, letting it melt into the sauce for a glossy finish.

Enjoy your juicy, flavorful steak dinner!
