Ingredients (Serves 8)

4 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and halved)

¾–1 cup sugar (adjust depending on sweetness of berries)

1 box yellow cake mix

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberries

Place the strawberries in a baking dish (preferably glass). Sprinkle the sugar evenly over the top and gently toss to coat. Let them sit for about 10 minutes to release their natural juices.

Add the Cake Mix

Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the strawberries. Do not stir—this helps create that signature layered texture.

Bake to Perfection

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 35–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the strawberry filling is bubbling around the edges.

Cool Slightly & Serve
