4-Ingredient Oven-Baked Swiss Steak Casserole

Servings: 6

Ingredients

2 pounds beef round steak or cube steak, cut into serving-sized pieces

1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup

1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained

1 packet dry onion soup mix

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Arrange the beef steaks in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.

In a medium bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, diced tomatoes (with their juices), and dry onion soup mix. Stir until well blended.

Pour the mixture evenly over the beef, making sure each piece is well coated.

Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.

Bake for 2 to 2½ hours, or until the beef is fork-tender.

Remove the foil during the last 20 minutes of baking to allow the top to brown and the sauce to thicken slightly.

Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
