Key Lime Pie Trifle
A refreshing, creamy dessert bursting with citrus flavor—this Key Lime Pie Trifle features layers of tangy lime pudding, fluffy whipped cream, buttery graham crumbs, and fresh lime slices, all beautifully assembled in a classic trifle dish.
Ingredients
Graham Layer:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter
2 tbsp sugar
Lime Filling:
2 boxes (3.4 oz each) instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
1/2 cup key lime juice
1 tbsp lime zest
Green food coloring (optional)
Whipped Cream:
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Toppings:
Lime slices
Extra graham cracker crumbs
Whipped cream rosettes
Optional: white chocolate curls or toasted coconut
Instructions
1. Prepare the graham layer:
Combine the graham crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Lightly press the mixture into the bottom of the trifle dish.
2. Make the lime pudding:
Whisk the pudding mixes and cold milk until they thicken. Add the key lime juice, lime zest, and a small amount of green food coloring if desired. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
3. Whip the cream:
Beat the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
4. Assemble the trifle:
Layer the components—starting with the graham mixture, followed by whipped cream, key lime pudding, and additional graham crumbs. Continue layering until the dish is filled.
5. Garnish:
Decorate the top with whipped cream rosettes, lime slices, and any extra toppings you like.
Serve
Refrigerate for 2–4 hours before serving to allow the flavors to blend beautifully.
