Sweet & Tangy Brown Sugar Pineapple Pork Chops

Sweet & Tangy Brown Sugar Pineapple Pork Chops (Juicy, Caramelized, Irresistible)

These brown sugar pineapple pork chops are the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy. Juicy bone-in pork chops are simmered in a rich glaze made with caramel-like brown sugar, soy sauce, and bright pineapple. As everything cooks together, the sauce thickens into a glossy, flavorful coating that clings to every bite. It’s an easy, crowd-pleasing dish that feels a little special without requiring much effort.

Ingredients

1½ pounds (about 4) bone-in pork chops

1 cup fresh pineapple, diced (or canned, drained)

½ cup brown sugar, packed

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Instructions

Prepare the Sauce

In a bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar until well combined.

Sear the Pork Chops (Optional but Recommended)

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and lightly sear the pork chops for 2–3 minutes per side until golden. This step adds extra flavor but can be skipped if you’re short on time.

Combine & Cook

Place the pork chops in a large skillet, baking dish, or slow cooker. Scatter the diced pineapple over the top, then pour the sauce evenly over everything.

Cook Your Way

Stovetop: Cover and simmer on low for 25–30 minutes, turning once, until the pork is tender.

Oven: Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35–40 minutes, uncovered, until cooked through.

Slow Cooker: Cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 2–3 hours.

Thicken the Sauce (Optional)

If you’d like a thicker glaze, remove the pork chops and simmer the sauce uncovered for a few minutes until it reduces.

To Serve

Spoon the sticky pineapple glaze generously over the pork chops. Serve with:

Steamed white rice or coconut rice

Roasted vegetables or green beans

Mashed potatoes for a comforting twist

Tips & Variations

Add garlic or fresh ginger for a deeper flavor.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds or green onions before serving.

Swap pineapple with mango chunks for a tropical variation.

This dish brings together bold flavors in the easiest way—sweet, savory, and just a little tangy, all in one delicious bite. Perfect for weeknights, but tasty enough to serve guests!
