Easy Apple Cake
A soft, lightly spiced apple cake made with simple pantry ingredients. Perfect for tea time, dessert, or a cozy family treat.

Ingredients
- 3–4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar, for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square pan or similar baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, melted butter, and eggs until smooth and well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the chopped apples until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
