Six Show-Stopping Trifle Desserts Everyone Will Love
Lemon Trifle
Serves: 10–12
Chill Time: 2–4 hours
Ingredients
- 2 medium lemons, washed and dried
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 3 cups cold whole milk
- 6.8 oz lemon instant pudding mix (2 packets)
- 14 oz angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 24 oz whipped topping, thawed
Instructions
- Zest both lemons and squeeze the juice; set aside.
- Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add lemon juice and zest; mix well.
- Whisk milk and lemon pudding mix until thickened (about 2 minutes).
- Fold pudding into the cream cheese mixture.
- Gently fold in half of the whipped topping.
- Assemble:
- Layer cake cubes in a trifle dish
- Add lemon cream
- Add whipped topping
- Repeat layers
- Finish with whipped topping and lemon zest.
- Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
