Festive Layered Christmas Jello Dessert

This Layered Christmas Jello is a tried and true family favorite that is festive, delicious, and makes the perfect addition to any Holiday meal!

Ingredients:

1 box (3 oz) red Jello (cherry or strawberry flavor)

1 box (3 oz) green Jello (lime flavor)

2 cups boiling water (divided)

2 cups cold water (divided)

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

2 envelopes unflavored gelatin

½ cup cold water (for dissolving gelatin)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the red layer:
In a bowl, dissolve the red Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved, then add 1 cup cold water. Pour into a 9×13-inch dish and refrigerate for about 45 minutes or until the layer is firm but not hard.

2. Make the creamy white layer:
In a small bowl, sprinkle 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin over ½ cup cold water. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
Meanwhile, heat 1½ cups boiling water and stir in the sweetened condensed milk. Add the dissolved gelatin mixture and stir until smooth. Allow it to cool slightly (but not set).

3. Pour the white layer:
Once the red layer is set, gently pour about half of the white gelatin mixture over it. Chill for 20–30 minutes until firm.

4. Prepare the green layer:
Dissolve the green Jello in 1 cup boiling water, then add 1 cup cold water. Let it cool to room temperature before pouring over the white layer. Refrigerate until set.

5. Repeat layers (optional):
For a more festive look, you can repeat the process with alternating red, white, and green layers.

6. Chill and serve:
Once all layers are set, refrigerate the Jello for at least 2 hours before serving. Cut into squares and enjoy!

Tips:

Use a spatula or spoon to gently pour each layer to avoid mixing colors.

For easier cutting, dip your knife in hot water before slicing.
