Baked Apple Cinnamon Protein Donuts – Sweet & Gluten-Free!

Yields: 12 donuts

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup peeled, diced apples

 

 

Nutrition (per donut):
Approx. 120 kcal | 6g protein | 5g fat | 12g carbs

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, protein powder, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, applesauce, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  4. Gently fold in the diced apples. Spoon the batter into the donut pan.

 

 

 

  1. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving.
