Slow Cooker 3-Ingredient Amish Mushroom Pork Chops

Slow Cooker 3-Ingredient Amish Mushroom Pork Chops
Servings: 4
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 3–7 hours
Ingredients
2 to 2½ pounds bone-in pork chops (about 4 thick-cut chops)
2 (10.5-oz) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (1-oz) packet dry onion soup mix
Instructions
Prepare the slow cooker
Lightly spray the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
Add the pork chops
Place the pork chops in the bottom of the slow cooker in a mostly even layer. A little overlap is fine, but try to keep them fairly flat so they cook evenly.
Mix the sauce
In a medium bowl, stir together the cream of mushroom soup and dry onion soup mix until smooth and well combined.
Cover the pork chops
Pour the soup mixture over the pork chops. Use a spoon or spatula to spread it so every chop is fully coated with the creamy mixture.
Slow cook
Cover with the lid and cook:
LOW: 6–7 hours
HIGH: 3–4 hours
The pork chops are done when they are very tender and easily pull away from the bone.
Serve
Carefully remove the pork chops with tongs or a wide spatula and place them on a serving plate (they will be very tender).
Finish the gravy
Stir the mushroom gravy remaining in the slow cooker until smooth, then spoon the rich, creamy gravy over the pork chops before serving.
Serving Suggestions
This dish tastes amazing served with:
Mashed potatoes
Buttered egg noodles
Steamed white rice
Add a side like roasted green beans, buttered peas, or a simple salad, and serve with dinner rolls or crusty bread to soak up the delicious gravy.
Tip: If you want extra flavor, add fresh sliced mushrooms or a little garlic powder to the sauce before cooking.
