Ingredients:

3 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon salt

2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast

¾ cup warm milk

2 tablespoons softened butter

1 egg (plus 1 extra for egg wash)

Sesame seeds for garnish

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.

2. Stir in the warm milk, egg, and butter. Knead the dough until it becomes soft, smooth, and elastic.

3. Cover and let the dough rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

4. Punch down the dough, shape it into equal-sized balls, and place them on a baking tray. Let them rise again until puffy.

5. Brush the tops with the beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15–18 minutes, until golden brown.
