Grape Jolly Rancher Moonshine
INGREDIENTS:
– 1 liter Everclear or high-proof vodka
– 2 cups grape Jolly Rancher candies
– 1 cup grape juice
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1 cup water
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. In a large mason jar or glass container, combine the grape Jolly Rancher candies and Everclear (or vodka). Seal the container and leave it at room temperature, shaking it occasionally until the candies fully dissolve, which usually takes about 24 to 48 hours.
2. Meanwhile, prepare a simple syrup by mixing the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Allow the syrup to cool.
3. After the candies have dissolved, add the grape juice and the cooled simple syrup into the jar. Stir the mixture thoroughly to blend the flavors.
4. Seal the jar again and let it rest for another 24 hours so the flavors can meld together.
5. Before serving, shake the moonshine well. Serve it chilled or poured over ice.
Tips:
– You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup according to your preference.
– Store the moonshine in the refrigerator; it will keep for up to a month.
