Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches

Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches
Ingredients
- 8 slices brioche or challah bread
- 2 tablespoons butter, for frying
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional but recommended)
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced (or strawberry jam)
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Make the Cheesecake Filling
In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. - Assemble the Sandwiches
Spread a generous layer of the cheesecake mixture onto 4 slices of brioche.
Top each with a spoonful of diced strawberries (or a thin layer of strawberry jam).
Place the remaining bread slices on top to form sandwiches. - Prepare the Egg Mixture
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and milk to create a custard-style dip. - Cinnamon-Sugar Coating
In a separate small bowl, stir together the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Set aside. - Dip the Sandwiches
Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Quickly dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides lightly. - Fry the Sandwiches
Cook the sandwiches in the butter for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crisp. - Coat in Cinnamon Sugar
While still warm, remove each sandwich and lightly press both sides into the cinnamon-sugar mixture. - Serve
Slice in half and serve warm.
Optional: Dust with extra powdered sugar or drizzle with strawberry syrup.
Tips
- For extra richness, use thick-cut brioche.
- You can swap strawberries for blueberries, peaches, or mixed berries.
- Serve immediately for the best texture.
