Christmas Cranberry, Camembert & Pistachio Puff Pastry Tree
Celebrate the magic of Christmas with this stunning puff pastry “tree,” filled with creamy Camembert, tangy cranberries, and crunchy pistachios.
It’s a sweet-savory showstopper — perfect for holiday gatherings and festive tables!
Ingredients
Pastry Base
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Flour, for dusting
Filling
- 200g Camembert cheese, thinly sliced
- ½ cup cranberry sauce or whole cranberries (fresh or lightly cooked)
- ⅓ cup chopped pistachios (plus extra for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
Preheat to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. - Prepare the Pastry Tree:
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut out a large Christmas tree shape (use a stencil or freehand).
- Use the first as a guide to cut a second identical tree.
- Add the Filling:
- Lay one pastry tree on the baking sheet.
- Arrange the Camembert slices evenly, leaving a ½-inch border.
- Spoon over the cranberry sauce and sprinkle with pistachios.
- Seal the Tree:
- Brush the edges with beaten egg.
- Place the second pastry tree on top and press the edges to seal.
- Create the Branches:
- Cut horizontal slits along the sides toward the center (leave a solid strip down the middle).
- Twist each strip gently to form branches.
- Finish & Bake:
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with extra pistachios.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Serve:
Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm — flaky, cheesy, sweet, and festive!
