It’s a sweet-savory showstopper — perfect for holiday gatherings and festive tables!

Ingredients

Pastry Base

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Flour, for dusting

Filling

  • 200g Camembert cheese, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup cranberry sauce or whole cranberries (fresh or lightly cooked)
  • ⅓ cup chopped pistachios (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Pastry Tree:
    • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
    • Cut out a large Christmas tree shape (use a stencil or freehand).
    • Use the first as a guide to cut a second identical tree.
  3. Add the Filling:
    • Lay one pastry tree on the baking sheet.
    • Arrange the Camembert slices evenly, leaving a ½-inch border.
    • Spoon over the cranberry sauce and sprinkle with pistachios.
  4. Seal the Tree:
    • Brush the edges with beaten egg.
    • Place the second pastry tree on top and press the edges to seal.
  5. Create the Branches:
    • Cut horizontal slits along the sides toward the center (leave a solid strip down the middle).
    • Twist each strip gently to form branches.
  6. Finish & Bake:
    • Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with extra pistachios.
    • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Serve:
Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm — flaky, cheesy, sweet, and festive!
