 Lemon Trifle

Serves: 10–12
Chill Time: 2–4 hours

Ingredients

  • 2 medium lemons, washed and dried
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 3 cups cold whole milk
  • 6.8 oz lemon instant pudding mix (2 packets)
  • 14 oz angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 24 oz whipped topping, thawed

Instructions

  1. Zest both lemons and squeeze the juice; set aside.
  2. Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add lemon juice and zest; mix well.
  4. Whisk milk and lemon pudding mix until thickened (about 2 minutes).
  5. Fold pudding into the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Gently fold in half of the whipped topping.
  7. Assemble:
    • Layer cake cubes in a trifle dish
    • Add lemon cream
    • Add whipped topping
    • Repeat layers
  8. Finish with whipped topping and lemon zest.
  9. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
