Ingredients (Makes 16 bars)
Base layer
200 g graham crackers or digestive biscuits, crushed
120 g butter, melted
Topping
1 can (397 g) sweetened condensed milk
150 g chocolate chips
100 g shredded coconut (optional)
100 g chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the pan
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Line a 20×20 cm (8×8 inch) baking pan with parchment paper.
Step 2: Make the base
Mix crushed biscuits with melted butter.
Press firmly into the bottom of the pan to form an even layer.
Step 3: Add toppings
Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the base.
Add coconut and nuts if using.
Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over everything.
Step 4: Bake
Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and set.
The top should look slightly golden and bubbly.
Step 5: Cool and slice
Let cool completely for at least 1 hour.
Cut into squares or bars.
