Maple-Glazed Pecan-Crusted Salmon (Sweet, Crunchy & Restaurant-Style)
A perfectly balanced dish featuring tender, flaky salmon topped with a crunchy pecan crust and finished with a sweet maple-Dijon glaze. It’s elegant enough for guests but easy enough for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients:
2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, mix together maple syrup and Dijon mustard until smooth and well combined.
Make the crust: In another bowl, combine chopped pecans, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Prepare the salmon: Place the salmon fillets on the baking sheet. Brush the top of each fillet generously with the maple-Dijon glaze.
Add the crust: Press the pecan mixture firmly onto the glazed top of each salmon fillet, ensuring an even coating.
Bake: Drizzle lightly with olive oil and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the crust is golden and crisp.
Serve: Let rest for a minute, then serve warm with lemon wedges or your favorite side dish.
Tip:
For extra crunch, broil the salmon for the last 1–2 minutes—just watch closely so the pecans don’t burn.
Enjoy your sweet, nutty, and savory salmon masterpiece!
