Sweet Celebration Vanilla Funfetti Cake

Ingredients

For the Cake

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup milk

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup rainbow sprinkles

For the Frosting

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

2–3 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Extra sprinkles for decorating

 

 

 

 

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch cake pan with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until smooth and fully combined.

Gently fold in the rainbow sprinkles without overmixing.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.

Bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let the cake cool completely before frosting.

Make the Frosting

Beat the softened butter until creamy.

Gradually add the powdered sugar.

Mix in the vanilla and enough milk to create a smooth, fluffy frosting.

Spread over the cooled cake and top with extra sprinkles.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a cold glass of milk, hot coffee, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for the ultimate sweet treat!
