Ingredients
(Using a 250 ml glass as measurement)
For the Dough:
1 glass plain yogurt (250 ml)
1 egg
1 glass all-purpose flour (160 g)
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Suggested Filling:
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 small tomato, sliced
1/2 onion, finely chopped
Cooked sausage, olives, or vegetables of your choice
Dried oregano or Italian herbs
Instructions
Prepare the Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, egg, and oil until smooth. Add the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder, then mix until you get a soft, lump-free batter.
Prepare the Pan
Lightly grease a non-stick skillet or baking dish. Pour the batter into the pan and spread it evenly.
Add the Toppings
Sprinkle the cheese over the dough, then add tomatoes, onions, and your favorite toppings. Finish with a little oregano for extra flavor.
Cook or Bake
Stovetop Method: Cover and cook on low heat for 12–15 minutes until the bottom is golden and the cheese melts.
Oven Method: Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes until puffed and golden.
Serve
Slice and enjoy warm. Crispy on the outside, soft and cheesy inside — the perfect quick meal for busy days!
Tips
Add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
You can replace yogurt with kefir or sour cream.
