Beef & Cheese Tortellini Bake

Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
20 oz (565 g) frozen cheese tortellini
24 oz (680 g) marinara sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced)
½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
Optional garnish: fresh basil or parsley, chopped
Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Beef
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon (about 6–8 minutes).
Drain excess grease if needed.
Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
2️⃣ Add Sauce & Tortellini
Pour marinara sauce into the skillet and stir to combine.
Add frozen tortellini directly to the sauce (no need to thaw).
Stir gently until tortellini are well coated.
3️⃣ Assemble the Bake
Transfer the mixture to a lightly greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the top.
Finish with Parmesan cheese.
4️⃣ Bake
Cover loosely with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes, until cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
5️⃣ Serve
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Tips & Variations
Swap ground beef for Italian sausage or ground turkey
Add sautéed onions, bell peppers, or spinach for extra veggies
Use alfredo sauce instead of marinara for a creamy version
Storage
