Buttery Shrimp-Stuffed Croissants

Ingredients
4 large croissants (store-bought or bakery fresh)
12 oz (340 g) raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and finely chopped
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup cream cheese, softened
¼ cup shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Optional: pinch of chili flakes or Cajun seasoning
Optional garnish: extra parsley or grated cheese
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cook the shrimp:
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add chopped shrimp, salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook 2–3 minutes, just until shrimp turns pink. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Make the filling:
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, parsley, and shredded cheese.
Fold in the cooked shrimp mixture until well combined.
Prepare croissants:
Slice croissants lengthwise (do not cut all the way through). Gently open them.
Stuff the croissants:
Spoon the shrimp mixture generously inside each croissant.
Bake:
Place stuffed croissants on the baking sheet. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until warmed through and lightly golden on top.
Serve:
Garnish with extra parsley or cheese if desired. Serve warm.
Tips & Variations
Add spinach or green onions to the filling for extra flavor
Use cheddar or Gruyère for a richer taste
Great served with a simple salad, soup, or crispy fries
