16 oz (1 lb) dry elbow macaroni

24–26 oz jar pizza sauce or thick marinara sauce

3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

6 oz sliced pepperoni (about 1 to 1½ cups), divided

2½–3 cups water (use the empty sauce jar to measure)

 

 

 

 

Instructions:

1. Prep the Slow Cooker

Lightly grease the inside of a 4–6 quart slow cooker with nonstick spray to prevent sticking.

2. Layer the Base

Add the dry elbow macaroni directly into the slow cooker. Pour the pizza sauce over the pasta.

3. Add Liquid

Fill the empty sauce jar with water and pour it in (about 2½ to 3 cups). Stir everything well to combine.

4. First Layer of Toppings

Add half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the pepperoni slices. Gently mix to distribute.

5. Cook Low & Slow

Cover and cook on low for 2½ to 3 hours, stirring once or twice if possible, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.

6. Finish with Cheese & Pepperoni

Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and pepperoni on top. Cover again and cook for another 10–15 minutes, just until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
