Melt-In-Your-Mouth Spring Comfort Dinner

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Spring Comfort Dinner
This simple old-fashioned recipe was passed down from my dad, and it’s still one of the coziest meals we make every spring. Just 4 humble ingredients turn into a rich, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth dinner the whole family will love
All I ask in return for this comforting recipe is a simple “Yum”
Ingredients
4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
1 small cabbage, chopped
1 smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced
3 tablespoons butter
Optional Seasonings
Salt and black pepper
Garlic powder
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Layer the sliced potatoes, cabbage, and sausage in a large baking dish or slow cooker.
Add butter evenly over the top.
Season lightly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if desired.
Cover and cook:
Oven: 180°C (350°F) for 70–90 minutes
Slow Cooker: Low for 5–6 hours
Stir gently before serving and garnish with fresh parsley.
The potatoes become buttery and tender, the cabbage turns sweet and soft, and the smoky sausage brings everything together in the most comforting way imaginable
