Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies Recipe

Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda (commonly used to help cookies rise)
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Cream the butter and sugars
In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
Add eggs and vanilla
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
Combine dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda.
Mix dry and wet ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing just until combined. Avoid overmixing to keep cookies tender.
Fold in chocolate chips and pecans
Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans with a spatula.
Scoop onto baking sheet
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
Bake
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
Cool
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve & enjoy!
Perfect with a glass of milk or just on their own.
Tips:
For extra gooey cookies, slightly underbake them (10 minutes).
Toast the pecans lightly in a pan for a richer nutty flavor.
You can add a pinch of cinnamon for a warm flavor twist.
