½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon black pepper

½ cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (optional but highly recommended)
For Garnish (Optional)
Chopped fresh parsley or herbs
Extra shredded cheese
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Chicken
In a bowl, season chicken strips with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Toss well to coat evenly.
2️⃣ Cook the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked.
Remove from heat and set aside.
3️⃣ Assemble the Tortilla Rolls
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly grease a baking dish.
Warm tortillas briefly (microwave 10–15 seconds or heat in a dry skillet).
Place cooked chicken strips in the center of each tortilla.
Roll tightly and place seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
4️⃣ Make the Creamy Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly (this removes the raw flour taste).
Slowly pour in the milk while whisking continuously until smooth.
Cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring, until thickened.
Add garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
Stir in cheese (if using) until melted and creamy.
5️⃣ Smother & Bake
Pour the warm sauce generously over the tortilla rolls, covering them completely.
Sprinkle extra cheese on top if desired.
Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and lightly golden.
6️⃣ Garnish & Serve
Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
Garnish with chopped parsley or herbs.
Serve hot and creamy.
