What seems like a simple dessert transforms into something incredibly rich and tender thanks to one magical step—letting sweetened condensed milk soak deep into the warm cake. The result? A melt-in-your-mouth texture that feels almost like a cross between cake and pudding, topped with a luscious cream cheese frosting.

 

 

 

Ingredients

For the Cake:

1 box carrot cake mix

Ingredients listed on the box (typically eggs, oil, and water)

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

Optional Add-Ins (for extra flavor & texture):

½ cup crushed pineapple (drained)

½ cup shredded coconut

½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Bake the Cake

Prepare and bake the carrot cake according to the package instructions in a 9×13-inch pan.

Poke & Soak (The Secret Step!)

Cool Completely
