Grandma Ruth’s Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip

 

Warm, creamy, and irresistibly cheesy, this classic spinach artichoke dip is the ultimate crowd-pleasing appetizer. Packed with tender spinach, tangy artichokes, and a rich blend of cream cheese, sour cream, and melted mozzarella, it bakes to bubbly, golden perfection. Ingredients

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 (14-ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well-drained

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

 

 

 

 

Instructions

Preheat the oven Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 1½-quart baking dish.

Prepare the creamy base In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth and creamy.

Add the cheeses Stir in 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese and all of the Parmesan cheese.

Mix in the vegetables and seasonings Fold in the chopped artichoke hearts, well-drained spinach, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, if using.

Transfer to baking dish Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.

Top and bake Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese over the top. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until hot, bubbly, and lightly golden.

 

 

 

 

Serve warm Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
