Grandma’s Creamy Beef & Corn Bake (Potluck Favorite Casserole)

This old-fashioned 4-ingredient baked beef and cream corn casserole is the kind of recipe that quietly becomes legendary. It’s the dish everyone remembers from spring potlucks at church halls—simple, comforting, and always gone before the table is cleared.

Made with layers of well-seasoned ground beef, sweet creamy corn, and melted cheese, everything bakes together into a rich, hearty casserole that feels like home in every bite. It takes just a few minutes to prepare—about 15 minutes of simple mixing and layering—then the oven does the rest. No complicated steps, no fancy ingredients, just pure, budget-friendly comfort food that tastes like something passed down through generations.

Ingredients

1 lb (450 g) ground beef

1 can (15 oz) cream-style corn

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 small onion, finely chopped (optional but adds great flavor)

Salt & black pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a skillet, cook the ground beef with the chopped onion until browned. Drain excess fat.

Season with salt and pepper, then stir in the cream-style corn.

Spread the beef mixture evenly into a baking dish.

Top generously with shredded cheddar cheese.

Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.

Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

What comes out of the oven is warm, creamy, and deeply satisfying—the kind of casserole that never makes it back home with leftovers.
