Crispy Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry Bites
These buttery puff pastry bites are flaky, cheesy, and unbelievably easy to make! With just a few simple ingredients, you can create the perfect snack, appetizer, or quick breakfast that everyone will love. Crispy on the outside, warm and melty on the inside — they disappear fast!
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
Sliced ham, as needed
Grated or sliced cheese, as needed
2–3 tbsp mayonnaise
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Optional Additions
Sesame seeds or black seeds for topping
Dried oregano or Italian seasoning
Chili flakes for a spicy kick
Instructions
Prepare the Puff Pastry
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Roll out the puff pastry slightly if needed.
Add the Filling
Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise over the pastry sheet. Add slices of ham evenly across the surface, then top with plenty of cheese.
Shape the Snacks
Cut the pastry into strips, squares, or triangles. You can roll them into spirals or fold them into pockets for different shapes.
Brush with Egg Wash
Place the pastries on the prepared baking tray and brush the tops with beaten egg for a beautiful golden finish.
