Pepperoni Pizza Roses

 

A Fun & Delicious Appetizer or Party Snack

These Pepperoni Pizza Roses are crispy on the outside, cheesy on the inside, and shaped like beautiful roses. Perfect for parties, game nights, or a fun family dinner.

 

 

 

Ingredients (Makes about 10–12 pizza roses)

Dough

1 tube refrigerated pizza dough

(or 1 lb homemade pizza dough)

All-purpose flour (for dusting)

Filling

1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup shredded provolone or Italian cheese blend (optional)

40–50 pepperoni slices

½ cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce

Seasoning & Brushing

2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp dried oregano

¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

For Serving (Optional)

Extra warm pizza sauce or marinara for dipping

Fresh basil or parsley (for garnish)

 

 

 

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Oven & Pan

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)

Grease a muffin tin generously with oil or non-stick spray

 

 

2️⃣ Roll the Dough

Lightly flour your work surface

Roll out pizza dough into a large rectangle, about ¼ inch thick

Cut dough into long strips, about 2½ inches wide

 

 

3️⃣ Assemble the Roses

Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce along each strip

Sprinkle mozzarella and provolone evenly

Place pepperoni slices along the top edge, overlapping slightly (half of each slice should hang over the edge)

This creates the “petal” look

 

 

4️⃣ Roll Into Roses

Starting from one end, gently roll the strip up into a spiral

Tuck the end underneath to hold shape

Place each roll into a muffin cup

 

 

5️⃣ Season & Brush

Mix olive oil (or butter), garlic powder, Italian seasoning, oregano, and red pepper flakes

Brush lightly over each pizza rose

Sprinkle Parmesan on top if using

 

 

6️⃣ Bake

Bake uncovered for 18–22 minutes

Tops should be golden and cheese bubbly

If browning too fast, loosely cover with foil

 

 

7️⃣ Cool & Serve

Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes

Carefully remove and garnish with basil or parsley

Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping

 

 

 

Tips & Variations

Extra cheesy: Add small cubes of mozzarella inside before rolling

Veggie version: Add thin slices of olives, mushrooms, or bell peppers

Spicy: Use spicy pepperoni or add hot honey drizzle

Crispier base: Pre-bake dough strips for 3 minutes before assembling

 

 

 

Storage & Reheating

Store in fridge up to 3 days

Reheat in oven or air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes
