2026 Countdown Cherry Bomb Shots
Ingredients
1 box (3 oz) cherry-flavored gelatin (Jell-O)
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cherry vodka (chilled)
1 cup whipped cream (canned or homemade)
Maraschino cherries with stems (for garnish)
Red and blue sugar sprinkles (for decoration)
Plastic shot cups (2 oz size) or small glass shot glasses
Instructions
1. Prepare the Base In a medium heat-proof bowl or large measuring cup, empty the cherry gelatin powder. Pour in the 1 cup of boiling water. Whisk vigorously for 2 minutes until the powder is completely dissolved.
2. Add the Kick Stir in the cold cherry vodka. Mix until combined. Tip: Keep the vodka in the freezer beforehand to help the shots set faster.
3. Pour Place your shot cups on a tray or baking sheet (for easy transport). Pour the mixture evenly into the shot cups, filling them about 3/4 of the way full (leave room for the whipped cream topping).
4. Chill Place the tray in the refrigerator. Chill for 2–4 hours until the gelatin is completely firm.
5. Decorate Just before serving (or right before the countdown), top each shot with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Sprinkle with the red and blue sugar sprinkles. Place a maraschino cherry on top of the whipped cream.
6. Serve Serve cold and toast to the New Year!
