4-Ingredient Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Steak Bites

4-Ingredient Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Steak Bites
Servings: 4
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 4–6 hours
Ingredients
2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1–1½-inch pieces
8 tablespoons (½ cup) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
6 cloves garlic, minced or very finely chopped
1½ teaspoons kosher salt (or to taste)
Directions
1. Prepare the slow cooker
Lightly grease the insert of a 4–6 quart slow cooker if you like. This step isn’t required, but it helps make cleanup easier later.
2. Season the beef
Pat the stew meat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps the meat cook better and keeps the sauce from becoming watery.
Sprinkle the salt evenly over the beef and toss to coat.
3. Layer the ingredients
Place the seasoned stew meat in an even layer in the slow cooker.
Scatter the minced garlic over the beef.
Dot the pieces of butter evenly across the top so they slowly melt and coat the meat while it cooks.
4. Slow cook
Cover and cook:
Low: 6–7 hours, or
High: 3–4 hours
The beef should become very tender and bathed in a rich garlic-butter sauce.
5. Stir and serve
Give the steak bites a gentle stir before serving so the buttery sauce coats everything evenly. Taste and add a little extra salt if needed.
Serving Ideas
These steak bites are delicious served with:
Mashed potatoes to soak up the garlic butter sauce
Buttered egg noodles
Steamed white rice
Crusty bread or dinner rolls
For vegetables, try roasted green beans, sautéed mushrooms, or a crisp salad to balance the richness.
Optional Extra (Not part of the 4 ingredients)
Sprinkle a little fresh parsley on top before serving for color and freshness.
