Slow Cooker Buttery Ranch Beef & Gravy (Melt-in-Your-Mouth Comfort Bowl)

Slow Cooker Buttery Ranch Beef & Gravy (Melt-in-Your-Mouth Comfort Bowl)
This slow cooker beef recipe tastes like something you’d order at a cozy diner, but it practically cooks itself. Tender chunks of beef simmer all day in a rich, buttery, savory gravy made with onion soup mix, ranch seasoning, and brown gravy mix. The result is ultra-soft, flavorful beef that falls apart effortlessly and pairs perfectly with creamy mashed potatoes.
Ingredients:
2 lbs beef stew meat (cut into chunks)
1 packet onion soup mix
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 packet brown gravy mix
4 tbsp butter
1 to 1½ cups water or beef broth
Prepared mashed potatoes (for serving)
Fresh parsley or chives (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Place the beef stew meat into your slow cooker in an even layer.
Sprinkle over the onion soup mix, ranch seasoning, and brown gravy mix evenly across the meat.
Add the butter on top in small pieces so it melts slowly into the sauce.
Pour in enough water or beef broth just to lightly cover the bottom and help create the gravy.
Cover and cook on:
LOW for 7–8 hours, or
HIGH for 4–5 hours,
until the beef is tender and easily pulls apart.
Stir everything well once cooked so the buttery gravy coats the beef beautifully.
🍽️ To Serve:
Spoon the rich, tender beef and gravy generously over creamy mashed potatoes. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley or chives for a pop of color and freshness.
Tip:
For an extra cozy upgrade, add a handful of sliced mushrooms during cooking or a splash of heavy cream at the end for an even silkier gravy.
Result: Pure comfort in a bowl—savory, buttery, and ridiculously easy.
