Ultimate Cheesy Loaded Tater Tot Casserole Bake

Crispy golden tater tots, savory beef, and layers of creamy melted cheese come together in this cozy family-style casserole. Perfect for busy weeknights, game nights, or whenever you need a warm and comforting dinner everyone will love.

 

 

 

Ingredients

1 bag frozen tater tots

1 lb (450 g) ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons butter or olive oil

Chopped parsley or green onions, for garnish

 

 

 

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a casserole dish.

In a large skillet, heat the butter or olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until soft and fragrant.

Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Drain any excess grease.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and milk until smooth and creamy.

Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly into the prepared casserole dish. Pour the creamy sauce over the beef and gently spread it out.

Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top.

Arrange the frozen tater tots in an even layer across the casserole.

Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the tater tots are crispy and golden brown.

Remove from the oven, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, and return to the oven for 5 minutes until melted and bubbly.

 

 

 

Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions and serve hot.
