Ultimate Creamy Cheesy Potato Bake

Golden, bubbly, and packed with comfort in every bite!  This irresistible potato casserole features layers of tender potatoes smothered in a rich garlic cream sauce and topped with a blanket of melted cheese baked to perfection. Crispy on top, creamy in the middle, and bursting with flavor, it’s the perfect side dish for family dinners, holidays, or whenever you’re craving pure comfort food.

 

 

 

Ingredients

2 lbs (900 g) potatoes, thinly sliced

2 cups heavy cream

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp butter

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp paprika

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

 

 

 

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the garlic until fragrant.

Add the heavy cream, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir well and simmer for 2–3 minutes.

Arrange half of the potato slices in the baking dish and pour over half of the cream mixture.

Sprinkle with half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese.

Repeat with the remaining potatoes, cream sauce, and cheeses.

Finish with a generous layer of Parmesan on top.

Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for another 20–25 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown and bubbling.

Let rest for 10 minutes before serving, then garnish with fresh parsley.
