Winter Wonderland Chocolate Chip Christmas Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup white chocolate chips (optional for a festive touch)
Holiday sprinkles or colored sugar (for decoration)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until fully combined.
6. Fold in the chocolate chips (and white chocolate chips if using).
7. Scoop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
8. Decorate the tops with festive sprinkles or colored sugar for a holiday look.
9. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers remain soft.
10. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
