Ingredients

For the Beef Layer

450 g (1 lb) ground beef

1 medium onion, finely diced

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup marinara or tomato sauce

1 tablespoon tomato paste

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Topping

1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the diced onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat if necessary.

Stir in the marinara sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.

Sprinkle the mozzarella and cheddar cheeses evenly over the beef mixture.

Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly.

Remove from heat and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and fresh parsley.
