Slow Cooker Magic Pot Roast

Ingredients:

 

1.5-2kg Beef Chuck Roast

4-5 Carrots, chopped

4-5 Potatoes, halved

1 Onion, sliced

2 sprigs Fresh Thyme/Rosemary

Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder

1/2 cup Red Wine (optional)

1 cup Beef Broth

 

 

 

Method (The Gentle Way):

 

Sear: Season beef, sear in hot oil until brown.

Layer: Place onions, carrots, potatoes in the slow cooker.

Place: Put beef on top, add herbs.

Pour: Mix broth/wine, pour over.

Slow & Low: Cook on LOW for 7-8 hours (or HIGH 4-5 hours) until it melts in your mouth!
