Ingredients

For the Dough

1 cup warm milk

¼ cup water, room temperature

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg, room temperature

2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon salt

4 cups all-purpose flour

For the Cinnamon Filling

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

For the Vanilla Glaze

1 cup powdered sugar

2–3 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, water, melted butter, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5–10 minutes until foamy.

Add the egg, salt, and gradually mix in the flour until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Step 2: Make the Filling

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon.

Roll the dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.

Step 3: Roll & Slice

Tightly roll the dough into a log starting from the long edge. Slice into 10–12 even rolls and place them in a greased baking dish.

Cover and let the rolls rise again for 30–40 minutes until puffy.

Step 4: Bake

Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and fluffy.

Step 5: Glaze & Serve

Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over the warm cinnamon rolls and serve fresh.
