Honey Garlic Ribs (Fall-Off-the-Bone!)
Serves 4–6
Ingredients
- 4 pounds pork spareribs
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup distilled white vinegar
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground ginger (optional but delicious)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional, to thicken sauce)
Instructions
1. Prep the Ribs
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if still attached (helps them get tender).
- Cut ribs into individual sections or leave them in racks—your choice.
- Season lightly with salt and pepper.
2. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce
In a bowl, whisk together:
- Honey
- Soy sauce
- Vinegar
- Ketchup
- Brown sugar
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Black pepper
Set aside.
3. Cook in the Oven (Tender Method)
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Place ribs in a baking dish or foil-lined pan.
- Pour half the honey-garlic sauce over the ribs.
- Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake 2½ to 3 hours, until ribs are very tender.
4. Finish the Ribs (Sticky & Caramelized!)
- Remove foil and drain excess liquid.
- Brush ribs with the remaining sauce.
- Increase oven temp to 400°F (200°C).
- Bake 10–15 minutes, or broil 3–5 minutes, until sticky and caramelized.
Optional: Thicken the Sauce
If you want extra glaze:
- Pour leftover sauce into a small saucepan.
- Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in cornstarch mixed with water.
- Cook 1 minute until thick.
- Brush over ribs before serving.

- Grilled vegetables
