Crockpot Chicken and Gravy

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (about 1 kg) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 packet chicken gravy mix
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for extra richness)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the gravy mixture:
    In a bowl, whisk together:

    • Chicken gravy packet
    • Ranch seasoning
    • Cream of chicken soup
    • Chicken broth
    • Black pepper and garlic powder
  2. Add chicken to the crockpot:
    Place the chicken breasts or thighs in the bottom of your slow cooker.
    (You can add the butter on top if using.)
  3. Pour the gravy:
    Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the chicken.
  4. Cook:
    • LOW: 6–8 hours
    • HIGH: 3–4 hours

    The chicken should be very tender and easy to shred.

  5. Shred & mix:
    Shred the chicken using two forks, then stir it back into the gravy until well combined.
  6. Serve:
    Serve hot over:

    • Mashed potatoes
    • Rice
    • Egg noodles
    • Biscuits

 

Tips

  • You can add sliced mushrooms or baby carrots for extra flavor.
  • Add ½ cup sour cream at the end if you want a creamier gravy.
  • Leftovers taste even better the next day!
