Crockpot Chicken and Gravy
Ingredients
- 2 lbs (about 1 kg) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 packet chicken gravy mix
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for extra richness)
Instructions
- Prepare the gravy mixture:
In a bowl, whisk together:- Chicken gravy packet
- Ranch seasoning
- Cream of chicken soup
- Chicken broth
- Black pepper and garlic powder
- Add chicken to the crockpot:
Place the chicken breasts or thighs in the bottom of your slow cooker.
(You can add the butter on top if using.) - Pour the gravy:
Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the chicken. - Cook:
- LOW: 6–8 hours
- HIGH: 3–4 hours
The chicken should be very tender and easy to shred.
- Shred & mix:
Shred the chicken using two forks, then stir it back into the gravy until well combined. - Serve:
Serve hot over:- Mashed potatoes
- Rice
- Egg noodles
- Biscuits
Tips
- You can add sliced mushrooms or baby carrots for extra flavor.
- Add ½ cup sour cream at the end if you want a creamier gravy.
- Leftovers taste even better the next day!
