Easy Calzone Pockets

Easy Calzone Pockets
Servings: 6 pockets
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Bake Time: 20–25 minutes
Ingredients
1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Optional fillings: pepperoni slices, cooked sausage, sautéed peppers and onions, mushrooms, olives
1 egg, beaten (for brushing)
Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat and Prepare
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 6 individual triangles.
2. Fill the Dough
Place about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce on the wide end of each triangle, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle generously with mozzarella cheese. Add your favorite toppings over the cheese.
3. Fold and Seal
Bring the pointed end of each triangle over the filling and fold it toward the wide end to create a pocket. Press the edges firmly to seal. For extra security, crimp the edges with a fork to prevent any filling from leaking out while baking.
4. Brush and Season
Arrange the filled pockets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden, glossy finish. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning if desired.
5. Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the calzone pockets are puffed and beautifully golden brown. The outside should be crisp, while the inside stays warm and cheesy.
6. Serve
Allow them to cool slightly before serving. Pair with extra pizza sauce for dipping and enjoy every bite!
