Sloppy Joe Casserole

Sloppy Joe Casserole
A hearty, family-friendly comfort dish that combines the classic sweet-savory flavor of sloppy joes with crispy tater tots and gooey melted cheese. It’s easy to make, filling, and perfect for weeknight dinners or potlucks.
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
2 cans sloppy joe sauce mix
1½ jars nacho cheese sauce
1 bag frozen tater tot rounds
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Salt to taste
Instructions
Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Break it apart with a spoon while cooking. Drain excess grease if needed.
Add sloppy joe sauce
Stir the sloppy joe sauce mix into the cooked beef. Mix well and let it simmer for 3–5 minutes so the flavors combine.
Add nacho cheese sauce
Pour in the nacho cheese sauce and stir until everything is evenly coated and creamy. Taste and add salt if needed.
Assemble the casserole
Spread the beef mixture evenly in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Arrange the frozen tater tot rounds in a single layer over the top.
Bake
Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
Add cheddar cheese
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top and return the casserole to the oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese melts.
Serve
Remove from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy while hot!
Tips
Add diced onions or bell peppers when cooking the beef for extra flavor.
For a little spice, mix in jalapeños or chili flakes.
Serve with a simple green salad or steamed vegetables.
