Southern 3-Ingredient Honey Glazed Carrots

Southern 3-Ingredient Honey Glazed Carrots

Every spring, my mother-in-law arrives with a big white serving bowl filled with these simple Southern-style honey glazed carrots, and without fail, the dish is completely empty before the main meal even begins. They’re incredibly easy to prepare, yet they always taste like something special enough for a holiday table.

Made with just three basic ingredients, this recipe turns humble carrots into a glossy, sweet, and buttery side dish that pairs perfectly with ham, roast chicken, or any festive dinner. The natural sweetness of the carrots blends beautifully with warm honey and a touch of richness, creating a comforting flavor that everyone keeps coming back for.

Ingredients (Only 3):

Fresh carrots, sliced

Honey

Butter

Instructions: Start by boiling or steaming the carrots until they are tender but still slightly firm. In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat, then stir in the honey until smooth and lightly bubbling. Add the cooked carrots and toss them gently until they are fully coated in the glossy glaze.

Let them cook for a few extra minutes so the flavors soak in and the sauce thickens slightly. Serve warm, and watch how quickly they disappear from the table.

Simple, cozy, and irresistibly sweet—this is the kind of side dish that quietly steals the spotlight every time.
