Air Fryer Egg in a Hole (Toast and Eggs)

Air Fryer Egg in a Hole (Toast and Eggs)
Ingredients (Serves 2)
2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your choice)
2 large eggs
1–2 tablespoons butter (or cooking spray)
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Optional toppings:
Shredded cheese
Chopped parsley or chives
Cooked bacon or ham
Instructions
Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for about 3 minutes.
Prepare the Bread
Use a small glass or cookie cutter to cut a hole in the center of each slice of bread.
Butter the Bread
Lightly spread butter on both sides of the bread slices (or spray with cooking spray).
Place in Air Fryer
Put the bread slices into the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Add the Eggs
Carefully crack one egg into the hole of each slice of bread.
Season
Sprinkle salt and black pepper on top. Add cheese or extras if you like.
Cook
Air fry for 5–7 minutes, depending on how runny or firm you like your eggs.
Serve
Carefully remove from the air fryer and serve immediately while warm.
Tips
For a runny yolk, cook closer to 5 minutes.
For a firm yolk, cook up to 7–8 minutes.
Use thicker bread so the egg stays in place better.
