Ingredients

For the biscuits

1 can (16 oz) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (8 biscuits)

8 oz (225 g) thinly sliced deli roast beef

4 slices provolone cheese, cut in half (or Swiss cheese)

2 tablespoons melted butter

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)

For the dipping sauce (au jus)

1 packet au jus gravy mix

2 cups water

Directions

Preheat the oven

Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish or line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Flatten the biscuits

Separate the biscuits and gently press each one into a small round using your hands or a rolling pin.

Fill the biscuits

Place a portion of roast beef in the center of each biscuit and top with half a slice of provolone cheese.

Seal the dough

Bring the edges of the dough up and over the filling, pinching them together to fully seal the biscuit.

Arrange in baking dish

Place each filled biscuit seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.

Add the butter topping

In a small bowl combine melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Brush this mixture over the tops of the biscuits.

Bake

Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the biscuits turn golden brown and cooked through.

Prepare the au jus

While the biscuits bake, prepare the au jus according to the package instructions using 2 cups of water.

Serve

Sprinkle with parsley if desired and serve warm with a bowl of au jus for dipping.
