Butter Toffee Pretzels
Perfect for parties and gift-giving!
Ingredients:
- 16 oz mini pretzel twists
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- ½ cup salted butter
- 5 tbsp light corn syrup
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 8 oz Heath English toffee bits
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread the mini pretzels evenly across the baking sheet.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, then add the brown sugar and corn syrup. Stir continuously until the mixture begins to bubble.
- Once bubbling, let it cook for 3 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and baking soda. The mixture will foam up—this is normal.
- Immediately pour the toffee mixture over the pretzels and toss gently to coat.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, then remove from the oven and sprinkle the toffee bits over the hot pretzels.
- Allow everything to cool completely, then break apart and enjoy!
